How to invest according to the values of the New European Bauhaus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brussels &#8211; Nearly four years after the launch of the New European Bauhaus, the architectural\/cultural movement founded on sustainability, beauty, and inclusiveness is not losing momentum and is now moving into the funding phase. To do so, the European Commission today (July 29) published <strong>Guidelines for Investment in the New European Bauhaus<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0clarify how public and private investment can complement its values and transform the European built environment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Nuovo-Bauhaus-Europeo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-148278 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Nuovo-Bauhaus-Europeo-300x220.jpg\" alt=\"Nuovo Bauhaus Europeo\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Nuovo-Bauhaus-Europeo-300x220.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Nuovo-Bauhaus-Europeo-768x563.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Nuovo-Bauhaus-Europeo.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The EU executive and\u00a0the advisory program Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions (Jaspers) developed the guidelines (<a href=\"https:\/\/new-european-bauhaus.europa.eu\/document\/download\/3f591237-1626-4959-920a-5271382bdd1b_en?filename=NEB%20Investment%20Guidelines.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available here<\/a>) to\u00a0enable investors to access <strong>quality guarantees to put\u00a0into practice the financial resources<\/strong> needed to transform buildings, open spaces, and neighborhoods in line with New European Bauhaus standards: <strong>aesthetic appeal, commitment to sustainability, inclusiveness, accessibility, and affordability<\/strong>. On the horizon is\u00a0a\u00a0range of challenges for Member States &#8211; for which public and private support is required &#8211; from climate neutrality, adaptation to climate change, accessibility and affordability of sustainable, high-quality housing, and\u00a0renovation.<\/p>\n<p>The EU Commission conceived the guidelines as a practical tool to\u00a0<strong>support increased investment in New European Bauhaus projects<\/strong> through different EU programs and funding channels in the coming years. In particular, it will\u00a0facilitate\u00a0<strong>the inflow into urban and rural regions, including remote or marginalized areas<\/strong>, to provide new economic opportunities and foster balanced territorial\u00a0development throughout the EU.
