{"id":389093,"date":"2024-09-11T17:45:24","date_gmt":"2024-09-11T15:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/2024\/09\/11\/partnenariato-ue-uk-per-lenergia-verde-la-proposta-della-camera-di-commercio-britannica-a-bruxelles\/"},"modified":"2024-09-16T12:20:37","modified_gmt":"2024-09-16T10:20:37","slug":"eu-uk-green-energy-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/en\/2024\/09\/11\/eu-uk-green-energy-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"EU-UK green energy partnership: British Chamber of Commerce proposal to Brussels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brussels &#8211; The call for an EU-UK <strong>Green Energy Partnership (GEP)<\/strong> by the British Chamber of Commerce in Brussels proves that <strong>climate advocacy has no borders and\u00a0Brexit\u00a0is not an obstacle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">The\u00a0<strong>GEP\u00a0<\/strong>is part of the broader\u00a0<strong>green transition<\/strong>\u00a0process\u00a0<span style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">with &#8220;<strong>Zero Emissions by 2050<\/strong>&#8221; as its goal and follows commitments made by\u00a0<\/span>the EU and the UK to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cop28.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COP28<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0The five proposed areas of collaboration are energy, research and innovation, transport, capital market, and carbon.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>EU<\/strong>, especially under the von der Leyen Commission chairmanship, is working to realize its role as a <strong>global <a href=\"https:\/\/reform-support.ec.europa.eu\/what-we-do\/green-transition_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> green\u00a0transition<\/a><\/strong> leader, which has become one of Europe&#8217;s key political and economic goals.
