The percentages of those expecting a neutral impact are lower, and only a narrow minority expects a positive effect. &#8220;<strong>The impact<\/strong> of the BSW&#8217;s <strong>electoral success<\/strong> on economic development is rated\u00a0<strong>slightly less negative than that of the AfD<\/strong>,&#8221; says\u00a0<strong>Aaron G\u00fcnther<\/strong>, a researcher at Ifo.\u00a0Analyzing both, most economists predict the BSW outcome will adversely affect companies&#8217; investment decisions, while for AfD, they fear a loss of attractiveness to skilled workers.<\/p>\n<p>German economists fear that &#8220;the <strong>popularity of the radical parties will severely damage the economic position<\/strong>,&#8221; said\u00a0<strong>Niklas Potrafke<\/strong>, director of the Ifo Center for Public Finance and Economic Policy, such that this &#8220;should be a <strong>warning bell for the population<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The panel&#8217;s viewpoint and the <strong>concerns it expressed contrast sharply with the will of the German population<\/strong>, which increasingly favors radical, ultra-nationalist, and anti-Europeanist forces, especially on the far right. <strong>The upcoming\u00a0polls are\u00a0in Brandenburg on<\/strong> <strong>Sept. 22<\/strong>, and according to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dawum.de\/Brandenburg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest projections<\/a>, the <strong>AfD is leading<\/strong> with 28.6 percent, followed by the SPD, the German Social Democratic Party, and then the BSW.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the results of a survey from a panel of economists, &#8220;the popularity of radical parties will seriously damage the economic position,&#8221; and this should make people worry.
