Originating in 2017 from the French education and training agency, they&nbsp;have since spread across Europe and worldwide. &#8220;Numerous events are organised every year in all territories, in both urban and rural areas, highlighting the <strong>wide scope of the program<\/strong>,&#8221; explains <strong>Nelly Fesseau<\/strong>, <strong>director of the French Erasmus+ agency for education and training<\/strong>, adding, &#8220;ErasmusDays illustrate the wide diversity of Erasmus+ actors and opportunities.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a testament to this, in <strong>2023<\/strong>, <strong>more than 9,000 events were held in more than 50 countries<\/strong>, attesting to the increased importance of the program and the significant impact on education, training, youth, and sports for Erasmus+ beneficiaries and stakeholders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">It is estimated that&nbsp;<strong>2024 activities will exceed<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.erasmusdays.eu\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&nbsp;10,000<\/strong><\/a>, involving students, trainees, adults, and sports coaches.<\/span>&nbsp;Through these exchange days, you can inform and raise awareness about the impact on local communities, allowing you to host and get to know other Erasmus+ beneficiaries, including the institutions involved or even local representatives. The <strong>theme<\/strong> of 2024 is the <strong>role of sport in promoting international cooperation and cultural exchange<\/strong>&nbsp;in the wake of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&#8220;<strong>Erasmus+ continues to<\/strong> <strong>inspire, open doors and transform the lives of millions of people<\/strong>. ErasmusDays 2024 celebrates the tremendous success of this iconic EU program and highlights the spirit of unity and collaboration that defines Europe,&#8221; comments <strong>Iliana<\/strong> <b><strong>Ivanova<\/strong><\/b>, <strong>Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We are talking about a project that is a&nbsp;<strong>milestone of the<a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;European Education Area<\/a> <\/strong>and contributes to achieving the Union&#8217;s education goals, such as the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/focus-topics\/improving-quality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">right to education<\/a>, inclusive and high-quality lifelong education and learning for all European citizens.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Through the <strong>cultural exchange and education of European citizens, both in study and training<\/strong> <strong>professionals<\/strong>, the Erasmus+ program succeeds in having a major impact.
