In\u00a02023, both flows &#8212; in and out &#8212; shrank.<strong>\u00a0&#8216;Made in EU&#8217; exports<\/strong> <span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>declined 5 percent<\/strong> to 523 billion euros from the record value of exports in 2022 (552 billion euros),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/en\/web\/main\/about-us\/who-we-are\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eurostat<\/a>\u00a0said in\u00a0data released today (Nov. 6).<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The value of <strong>imports<\/strong> of chemicals from non-EU countries into the EU <strong>dropped 10 percent<\/strong> to 326 billion euros, down from 363 billion euros the previous year.
