Brussels – The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced a \u20ac20 million Venture Debt loan\u00a0for Tau Group<\/a>, an Italian technology startup at the heart\u00a0of transportation electrification. The EIB’s investment will enable Tau Group to\u00a0increase the production capacity of high-performance wire\u00a0for use in vehicles and machine parts that also contribute to the energy transition, increasing the current capacity of<\/strong> about 2 thousand tons\u00a0to 12 thousand tons annually by 2027.\u00a0 The EIB financing is backed\u00a0by InvestEU, the European Union’s investment program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The investments, financed with EIB resources, will be made\u00a0at the Turin plant by 2027. Tau Group’s goal is to replace current wire enameling techniques —\u00a0which involve\u00a0using\u00a0hazardous and polluting solvents — with a new technology, making it possible to coat\u00a0wire with advanced engineering polymers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
