Polish Prime Minister <strong>Donald Tusk<\/strong> announced today (Feb. 25) at a meeting in Warsaw with European Council President <strong>Ant\u00f3nio Costa <\/strong>that, before the extraordinary European summit on March 6, &#8220;a group of EU leaders will be on Sunday (March 2, ed) <strong>in London to talk about joint plans regarding defence<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The visit of a select group of EU heads of state and government to the British capital confirms\u00a0<span style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/1a828a79-2bf1-4e3d-9136-83f110315645\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0disclosures\u00a0<\/a><\/span>published this morning by the <em>Financial Times<\/em> that finance ministers from some EU countries and the UK will discuss a\u00a0<strong>pan-European common fund to finance an increase in military spending<\/strong> as early as on the sidelines of a meeting scheduled this week as part of the G20 in Cape Town.
