Forza Italia MEP Giusi Princi disputes her involvement in the Belgian judiciary&#8217;s investigation into the so-called Huawei case, which involves a number of MEPs who allegedly accepted money or benefits (like a stadium ticket for a match in Belgium) in exchange for supporting the communications equipment company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">She herself reveals the attentions of the magistrates, who would have asked Parliament for an authorisation to proceed against her as well, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/en\/2025\/05\/20\/belgian-prosecutors-seek-to-lift-immunity-of-at-least-three-meps-in-huawei-probe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after those released yesterday<\/a>:\u00a0&#8220;<span lang=\"IT\">I am accused of having participated in a meeting in Brussels on 25 June 2024, undeclared to the European Parliament,&#8221; Princi explained in a note, &#8220;a meeting in which <strong>I did not participate at all because I was in Reggio Calabria at the end of the school year recital of my little daughter<\/strong>, as can be seen from the <b>copious documentary evidence<\/b> in support&#8221; (bold in the original, ed.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmprfx_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"IT\"> &#8220;Moreover,&#8221; continues Princi, &#8220;I point out that on the same date I was not yet a Member of the European Parliament, having only been <b>proclaimed<\/b> on <b>3 July 2024.<\/b>&#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">The MEP adds, &#8220;through my lawyers, I promptly informed the competent authorities of my total and documented extraneousness to the alleged fact.
