This is the opinion of 75 percent of the <strong>Italians interviewed by Eurobarometer<\/strong> between February and March this year for the special thematic survey. So,\u00a0<strong>for three out of four Italians, the national government<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>hasn&#8217;t done enough<\/strong>&#8221; to tackle\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/en\/2024\/02\/20\/brussels-raises-alarm-over-mediterranean-drought-water-rationing-in-sicily\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">increasingly frequent climate-related phenomena<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-431105\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima.png\" width=\"1096\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima.png 1096w, https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima-300x111.png 300w, https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima-1024x377.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima-768x283.png 768w, https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/eurobar-clima-750x276.png 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1096px) 100vw, 1096px\" \/><\/a>The\u00a0Italian figure is a rebuke of\u00a0the Meloni government, considering that compared to responses to the same question between May and June 2023,<strong>\u00a0belief in the ineffectiveness of the national executive&#8217;s action has increased by one percentage point<\/strong>. Moreover, Italians&#8217; skepticism is higher than the European average (in the EU it is 67 percent, on average, say that little is being done at\u00a0the national level against climate change) and the fifth most disliked in Europe after Sweden and France (77 percent), Greece and Croatia (76 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Italians implicitly call for a more attentive government, as they widely believe that it is the national government that is in a privileged position to manage and govern the challenge of climate change (71 percent) compared to other actors, such as the European Union (66 percent).
