Brussels – The European Training Foundation (ETF), the European Union agency supporting skills development and education in EU and neighboring countries, announced today (10 July) at the Conference on Ukraine’s Reconstruction <\/strong><\/span>its goal to strengthen education and employment systems<\/strong>, promote cooperation between institutions, and help the country prepare for long-term recovery, and for the path to EU membership. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative, within the EU Youth Guarantee project, aims to ensure that every young person under the age of 30 in Ukraine receives a quality job offer, training course, internship,<\/strong> or further educational opportunity within four months of leaving school or becoming unemployed. The program also promotes better career guidance and supports the labor market inclusion of young people with disabilities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“The Youth Guarantee is more than a policy \u2013 it\u2019s a way to rebuild trust and deliver real support for young people,” said Pilvi Torsti, director of the ETF.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tomorrow (11 July), at the conference, there will be a panel dedicated to youth and sport (3:00-4:15 pm), with Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Equity, Youth, Culture and Sport, Andrea Abodi, Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs of Italy, and Matvii Bidnyi, Minister for Youth and Sport of Ukraine (online link), and ETF Director, Pilvi Torsti.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
