Representatives of the <strong>Islamic Republic<\/strong> and the <strong>European members of the JCPOA<\/strong>, the ten-year-old agreement on the Ayatollahs&#8217; <strong>atomic programme<\/strong>, which is about to expire, met in the Turkish city. These include the <strong>resumption of direct talks with the White House<\/strong>, the full and continued <strong>collaboration<\/strong> <strong>with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)<\/strong>, and the reporting of some <strong>400 kilos of highly enriched uranium<\/strong> (close to the 90 per cent threshold above which it is possible to develop an atomic device) whose whereabouts are unknown following the <strong>US&nbsp;B-2 Spirit attacks<\/strong> on the plants of&nbsp;<strong>Fordo<\/strong>, <strong>Natanz,<\/strong> and <strong>Isfahan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Also breathing a sigh of relief, at least a partial one, was the head of the IAEA, <strong>Rafael Grossi<\/strong>, who said he was &#8220;encouraged&#8221; by Iran&#8217;s <strong>green light<\/strong> <strong>for a visit by an IAEA delegation<\/strong> &#8220;in the coming weeks&#8221;, suggesting that this could pave the way for a <strong>return of UN inspectors by the end of the year<\/strong>.
