Brussels – Annual inflation rate in the eurozone<\/b> was 2.0 percent (pct) in July 2025, stable compared with June. A year earlier, the rate was 2.6 pct. Annual inflation in the European Union<\/b> was 2.4 pct in July 2025, up from 2.3 pct in June. A year earlier, the rate was 2.8 pct.  Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, <\/b>published the figures.<\/p>\n

The lowest annual rates were recorded in Cyprus<\/b> (0.1 pct), France<\/b> (0.9 pct), and Ireland<\/b> (1.6 pct). The highest were in Romania<\/b> (6.6 pct), Estonia<\/b> (5.6 pct), and Slovakia<\/b> (4.6 pct). Compared to June 2025, annual inflation decreased in eight Member States, remained stable in six, and increased in thirteen. In Italy, the figure was 1.7 pct year-on-year and -1.00 pct month-on-month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 In July 2025, the most significant contribution to the annual euro area<\/b> inflation rate came from services (+1.46 pp), followed by food, alcohol, and tobacco (+0.63 pp), non-energy industrial goods (+0.18 pp), and energy (-0.23 pp).<\/p>\n
