Brussels – The European Commission is gathering feedback on how the Digital Markets Act (DMA)<\/a> can support fair and contestable digital markets, including in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector. <\/p>\n

To this end, the Commission published a call for evidence<\/a> yesterday, providing further information on the DMA revision process and the public consultation<\/a> that commenced on 3 July, as well as an AI questionnaire<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The review aims to assess the effectiveness of the DMA in promoting fair and contestable digital markets, its impact on businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and consumers. The aim is also to identify potential areas for improvement and to consider emerging challenges, such as the introduction of AI-based services. The findings collected will feed into the Commission’s report on the DMA review that will be presented in May 2026 to the European Parliament, the Council, and the European Economic and Social Committee.<\/p>\n
