The citizens&#8217; initiative law submitted to the EU executive under the title <a href=\"https:\/\/citizens-initiative.europa.eu\/initiatives\/details\/2024\/000004_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My Voice, My Choice: For Safe and A<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/citizens-initiative.europa.eu\/initiatives\/details\/2024\/000004_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ccessible Abortion<\/a> met the requirements for admission.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The promoters urge the  Commission to submit a proposal for financial support to Member States that would enable them to perform safe termination of pregnancies for anyone in Europe who lacks access to safe and legal abortion<span class=\"ryNqvb\">. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The College of Commissioners has until 2 March 2026 to present its official reply.&nbsp;The process of discussing the proposal will also include a public hearing in the European Parliament, to be held on a date to be determined.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EU executive has until 2 March 2026 to give its opinion.
