The President of the Court of Auditors has a three-year term in&nbsp;office, which can be renewed for an additional term. With the confirmation,<strong> <strong>Murphy will start his second term on 1 October and will remain in office until 30 September 2028<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eca.europa.eu\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Court of Auditors<\/a> is the independent external auditor of the European Union.
