The EU General Court recalculates the fine, <strong>reducing it by approximately 140 million euros<\/strong>. Compared to the EUR 376 million requested, the Luxembourg judges view that &#8220;<strong>an amount of 237,105,540 is a more appropriate reflection of the gravity and duration of the infringement at issue<\/strong>.&#8221; The EU Court therefore examines the merits of the EU executive&#8217;s calculation of Intel&#8217;s penalty, arguing that there were errors of assessment.
