Brussels \u2013 Connect Europe brought together senior executives from Europe’s leading connectivity providers in Brussels today for a high-level exchange with Roberta Metsola<\/strong>, President of the European Parliament, and Teresa Ribera<\/strong>, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for a clean, fair, and competitive transition. <\/p>\n

Discussions focused on the strategic role of connectivity networks<\/strong> in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness, resilience, and technological sovereignty at a time when digital infrastructure has become a critical enabler of economic growth, security, and innovation across the continent.<\/span> <\/p>\n

During the exchanges, telecom leaders underlined the importance of investment-friendly policies, scale and innovation in digital networks, and a coherent EU framework to support Europe\u2019s ambitions on digital leadership, sustainability and strategic autonomy. <\/p>\n

The following industry leaders participated in the meetings: Marc Murtra<\/strong>, CEO of Telef\u00f3nica; Pietro Labriola<\/strong>, CEO of TIM; Dominique Leroy<\/strong>, CEO Europe of Deutsche Telekom; Ana Figueiredo<\/strong>, CEO of MEO Portugal; Lars Thomsen<\/strong>, CEO of Telenor Denmark; Margherita Della Valle<\/strong>, CEO of Vodafone Group; and Alessandro Gropelli<\/strong>, Director General of Connect Europe. <\/p>\n
