Brussels – The controversy that has engulfed X in recent weeks has prompted Elon Musk’s social network to revise the image creation and editing feature of its artificial intelligence tool, Grok. In a recent post, the chatbot<\/a> announced that, as of now, “image generation and editing are currently limited to paying subscribers.” <\/strong><\/p>\n

Musk took action to address the dispute following protests that erupted in December, when X introduced a built-in button for creating and editing images, a feature initially reserved for monthly subscribers. The protests centered on the tool’s “Spicy” mode, which enabled users to add nudity to photos and images and was used to create and disseminate sexually explicit and violent content<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In addition to controversy, X has been threatened with fines and legal proceedings. In France, the United Kingdom, and even India. In Brussels, where Musk has already been hit with a 120 million euro fine, the European Commission has called Grok “disgusting” and issued a request for information to the American tech giant under the Digital Services Act, ordering it to retain all internal documents and data relating to Grok until the end of 2026. <\/p>\n
