This figure represents a 4.8 per cent increase compared to 2023, driven by higher production in France (+12.5 per cent), Sweden (+4.5 per cent), and Slovenia (+4.2 per cent). However, France was almost the only country to report a positive figure. <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal\">In recent years, the French have been committed to restarting their numerous power stations at full capacity<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\">, without building any new ones. Other countries, on the other hand, have either reduced their production or stayed at roughly the same levels as previous years..<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\">Compared to the entire Union&#8217;s production, the French managed to generate <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal\">58 per cent of all nuclear energy<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\">. This is a huge gap compared to other EU partners. The second largest producer was Spain, which covered only <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal\">8.4 per cent of the EU total<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\">, followed by Sweden with 5 per cent.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\">Returning to France, the statistics centre <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;font-weight: normal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/web\/products-eurostat-news\/w\/ddn-20260129-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eurostat<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\"> has calculated that <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal\">67.3 per cent of all electricity produced beyond the Alps is nuclear<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-style: normal\">. Only Slovakia has such high percentages.
