The spread of anti-European narratives, with the consequent call to support Poland&#8217;s exit from the European Union, is so widespread that EPP MEP <strong>Krzysztof Brejza<\/strong> has been forced to raise the issue with the European Commission to request appropriate action.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en-GB\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">&#8220;The characteristics of this content, including its volume, coordinated distribution patterns, and the use of synthetic voices and personas, suggest <strong>the possibility of an organised disinformation campaign<\/strong>,&#8221; Brejza denounces <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/doceo\/document\/E-10-2026-000055_EN.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the parliamentary question<\/a><\/span><\/span> addressed to the EU executive.&nbsp;&#8220;<span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">According to Polish authorities, such activity poses a <strong>tangible risk <\/strong>to public order, information security, and the integrity of democratic debate, not only in Poland, but across the EU,&#8221; he added.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/en\/2025\/10\/24\/tiktok-and-meta-in-eu-crosshairs-over-dsa-violations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The European Commission already has ongoing disputes with TikTok<\/a>&nbsp;over alleged violations of the Digital Services Act (DSA), and could open a new case against the Chinese platform. <span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">&#8220;<strong>The Commission is aware <\/strong>of the dissemination of AI-generated content on TikTok advocating for Poland to leave the&nbsp;EU<strong><\/strong>,&#8221; Executive Vice-President for Technological Sovereignty and Democracy, <strong>Henna Virkkunen,<\/strong>&nbsp;clarified. Within the framework of the Digital Services Act, she said, &#8220;it has&nbsp;engaged in exchanges with the provider of TikTok and third parties regarding the concerned account(s).&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;European investigations into TikTok are already underway, with Brussels engaged in the amicable phase of the procedure. &#8220;The i<span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"it\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>nvestigations&nbsp;in these proceedings are ongoing,<\/strong> and the Commission continues to gather and analyse evidence,&#8221; Virkkunen continues, suggesting that Brussels could also decide to take a hard line, i.e., impose fines. For TikTok, moreover, the precedent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/en\/2024\/11\/29\/tiktok-favored-georgescu-romanian-election-becomes-a-case-in-brussels-as-well\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the 2024 Romanian presidential elections also weighs heavily, in which&nbsp;the vote is believed to&nbsp;have been influenced by the campaign carried out on&nbsp;the social media platform in support of the pro-Russian candidate<\/a> Calin Georgescu.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The allegation of a disinformation campaign aimed at encouraging an exit from the European Union.
