Brussels \u2013 A week on since the electoral defeat of the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orb\u00e1n<\/strong><\/a>, another country on the European Union\u2019s sensitive eastern flank will go to the polls. On Sunday<\/span>,\u00a0early parliamentary elections will be held in Bulgaria<\/a>, called\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0in\u00a0February<\/span> following the resignation of the former head of government, Rosen Zeljazkov<\/strong>. Furthermore, there will be other important elections in the coming months, as shown on the map produced by Eunews<\/em>. In May,\u00a0<\/span>it will be Cyprus\u2019s turn, whilst Sweden and Latvia will go to the polls in the autumn. Also worth keeping an eye on are the Andalusian elections in Spain and those in certain regions of eastern Germany in September, which are important for gauging support for the far right.<\/div>\n
