The regulation sets duty-free quotas of 18.3 million tonnes, with a 50 per cent duty on imports outside these quotas, and a melting and casting scheme to improve transparency.<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"it\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The public consultation will gather information and views from steel producers, steel users, traders, importers, trade associations, and other interested parties to identify the product categories that should be subject to EU <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eunews.it\/en\/2025\/10\/07\/zero-tariffs-for-lower-quotas-higher-ones-for-surpluses-eu-measures-for-steel\/\">measures<\/a>.
