Brussels \u2013 The European Commission will host a meeting tomorrow (4 November) in Brussels with representatives from France, Germany and the United Kingdom<\/strong> (the E3 countries), the United States, NATO and the World Bank<\/strong> to discuss Ukraine\u2019s future after the war. This was confirmed by the chief spokesperson for the union’s government, Paula Pinho<\/a>, during the daily press briefing. <\/p>\n

“The meeting will follow on from previous talks held in Miami, which involved Ukraine and the United States, with a view to achieving a lasting and sustainable peace in Ukraine. The meeting will focus on Ukraine\u2019s post-war reconstruction and prosperity,\u201d said Pinho. Representing the Commission will be national security advisers and \u201csenior officials\u201d<\/strong>, the spokesperson clarified. Meanwhile, Brussels is maintaining contact with Washington. \u201cWe are also in contact with our US counterparts regarding the announcements and forthcoming meetings,\u201d added Pinho. <\/p>\n

The meeting forms part of a new phase of intensified diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the Russian war against Ukraine<\/strong>, with Washington committed to reviving dialogue with Moscow and Kyiv<\/a>. The talks in Miami involved Ukrainian, US, and European representatives, with the aim of exploring the conditions for achieving a lasting peace and defining the country\u2019s prospects in the post-war period. <\/p>\n

The new meeting in Brussels also precedes the trilateral talks between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia announced for 10 and 11 November in Abu Dhabi <\/strong> by the US envoy Steve Witkoff. According to Washington, the negotiations are expected to address the end of the war, post-war security guarantees, and de-escalation measures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
