Brussels – Campania is among the 10 European regions the EU Commission selected to receive tailor-made support under the talent enhancement mechanism to help mitigate the effects of demographic change and the significant departure of the younger population. Campania will receive detailed analysis, policy recommendations, and action plans tailored to address specific demographic and territorial challenges, with the support of expert advice from the OECD.
The Communication on Harnessing Talent introduced the eight-pillar talent booster mechanism in European Regions. The mechanism supports EU regions affected by the accelerated decline of the working-age population in training, retaining, and attracting people with the skills needed to mitigate the impact of the demographic transition.
