AFET - Exchange of views with Foreign Affairs Ministers of Member States on the EU enlargement policy ahead of the March 2024 European Council

from the correspondent in Strasbourg – After today’s (July 17) approval at the inaugural session of the 10th legislature in the Strasbourg hemicycle of the numerical composition of the 20 committees and four subcommittees of the EU Parliament, the eight political groups are finalizing the final details of the division of their respective members in each of them. The official announcement will come on Friday (July 19) at the close of the EU Parliament’s first plenary session—before the appointments of the chairs of all committees and subcommittees next week—but rumours about the division of seats among the national delegations for each group are already beginning to leak out.

Below is the list of all the destinations of the Italian MEPs, with the sole exception of the list of the Left group (which includes eight members of the 5 Star Movement and two elected from the ranks of the Green/Left Alliance), which inside sources anticipate to be arriving in its final version almost certainly this evening.
