Cairo – “We pay a lot of attention to Africa, especially North Africa and the Middle East. Last year, we had a 49 percent increase in this market area, but that’s because we have the most suitable product for this type of market, which offers greater sales efficiency,” said Guo Koben, general manager for Africa and the Middle East of China’s Longi Group, during CSEW, the Cairo Sustainable Energy Week in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.

In 2022, we started operations in North Africa and the Middle East, and as of November 2022, our sales efficiency rate reached 26.81%, which is already an achievement. This year, after investment in research and development, we achieved our most recent product, Longi’s HIMO 9 series, which reached 27.3 percent, close to the theoretical limit of silicon-based cell production of about 29.4 percent. This, through innovation and R&D, gives us good motivation to expand our market,” Koben explained.
