Brussels – On February 2, the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels will host Paola Cortellesi for the Belgian première of the movie C’è ancora domani. The event, which sold out within minutes of its launch, was made possible thanks to a partnership with the Ostend Film Festival, which hosted the avant-première on Thursday, February 1.

The evening began with an aperitif hosted by Campari Group and NBC Universal, partners in the initiative, followed by the movie screening, after which which the actress-director spoke to the audience. Italian Ambassador Federica Favi spoke at the opening while the Director Regent of the Cultural Institute, Allegra Iafrate, did the honors and interviewed Paola Cortellesi.

Considered to be one of the most complete artists on the Italian scene, Paola Cortellesi, actress, screenwriter, and author, David di Donatello Award for her performance in Nessuno mi può giudicare and winner of three Nastri D’Argento for Come un gatto in tangenziale, Ma cosa ci dice il cervello, and Figli, marks her debut as a director with the film now also being shown at the Brussels Cultural Institute. The film has already been a great success at the box office and has received universal acclaim from Italian and foreign critics, who have appreciated the direction and acting tests of the actors and the themes it addresses related to patriarchal culture, gender violence, and women’s rights.

“It is not only a real pleasure to present an extraordinary and beloved artist like Paola Cortellesi in Brussels for the premiere of her latest film, which is already a resounding success, but it is an unmissable opportunity to talk about women, about our role in the society of today and of the future and how the development of the entire human race depends on it. I would also like it to be an opportunity to celebrate them, women, multitasking until exhaustion, anchors of society, often mothers who sacrifice everything for the family’s sake,” said the Italian Ambassador.
In addition to Paola Cortellesi and Valerio Mastandrea, the cast includes Romana Maggiora Vergano, Emanuela Fanelli, Giorgio Colangeli, and Vinicio Marchioni. C’è ancora domani, written by Furio Andreotti, Giulia Calenda, and Paola Cortellesi, is distributed in Italy and worldwide by Vision Distribution (NBC Universal).
