    EU Commission Vice-President Ribera says there is ‘genocide’ in Gaza

    Brussels – For the vice-president of the European Commission, the Spanish socialist Teresa Ribera, “a genocide” is taking place in Gaza. 

    “The genocide in Gaza exposes Europe’s inability to act and speak with one voice,” Ribera told the students of the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po in a speech given this morning (minute 8.08). 

    This challenge, she emphasised, comes in the face of “protests spreading across European cities and 14 members of the UN Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire.”
