Brussels – Sweden is the second EU Member State to receive the full amount of the Recovery Fund. The European Commission has authorised the disbursement of 333 million euros to the government in Stockholm to support measures promoting sustainable transition, housing and labour market policies. This payment completes the process of applying for financial assistance.
Before Sweden, another Scandinavian country, Denmark, had already become the first to fully utilise all the resources available under the post-pandemic recovery instrument NextGenerationEU, of which the Recovery Fund is a key component.
