Brussels – The head of the Democratic Party’s delegation to the European Parliament, Nicola Zingaretti, has been appointed shadow rapporteur for the Group of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) on the Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA), the new European regulation aimed at strengthening the European cloud and artificial intelligence ecosystem. The party announced this in a press release.
“Right now, the EU is fighting to defend European citizens against the tech giants,” explained the head of delegation. “Now we are called upon to build the European digital ecosystem, and this regulation is a fundamental part of that. We will work to promote innovation that serves people and Europe, strengthening our technological autonomy, competitiveness and the Union’s ability to lead the digital transformation without compromising our values,” said Zingaretti.
