Annual inflation down to 2.8 percent in euro area

Brussels – The euro area’s annual inflation rate stood at 2.8 percent in January 2024, down from 2.9 pct in December. A year earlier the rate was 8.6 pct.

EU annual inflation was 3.1 percent in January 2024, down from 3.4 pct in December. A year earlier the rate was 10.0 pct. These data are published by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union.
