Brussels – Ignazio Marino is vice-chairman of the Greens group in the European Parliament. The elected Italian of the Green and Left Alliance (AVS) got the post at the end of the group’s meeting, which elected the members of the bureau. Along with Ignazio Marino, outgoing European Commissioner for the Environment and the Sea, Virginius Sinkevicius (Lithuania), Marie Toussaint (France), Alice Bah Kuhnke (Sweden), and Sergey Lagodinsky (Germany) were appointed vice-chairmen. Danish Kira Marie Peter-Hansen was appointed vice president and treasurer.
