Brussels – The National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) renews its partnership in the European project BRIDGeconomies to support the industrial development of small enterprises in southern Italy.
The project received European funding of approximately EUR 1 million over the three years 2022-2025, and will benefit from an additional EUR 900,000 over the next three years.
In Italy, BRIDGeconomies brings together 13 partners, including chambers of commerce, business associations, development agencies, research centers, and universities in southern Italy. The cluster is one of six Italian consortia offering services of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the world’s largest business support network, established by the European Commission in 2008. Among these entities, ENEA plays a central role, being committed to innovation and technological development.
ENEA’s commitment is to provide free services to companies in Campania and Puglia. Small and medium-sized enterprises in the two regions will be able to request assistance in accessing EU funding and services, particularly for initiatives related to innovation and technology transfer.
“To date, there are around 850 companies that have been able to grow internationally; those that benefit from the specialized advice of our experts, 112, while the companies that receive specialized guidance and training courses total 525. Important numbers and growing,” explains the ENEA project manager, Oscar Amerighi.
A concrete commitment was made in the province of Naples, at the Portici Center, where ENEA promoted the topic of energy networks for the development of a modern energy connection. The smart grid will be available to businesses to show them the advantages of optimizing energy consumption.
