Brussels – The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Ramo d’Azienda Lumina (“RA Lumina”) by Axpo Italia SpA and Canarbino SpA, all of Italy. The transaction primarily relates to the wholesale and retail supply of electricity in Italy. The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the joint venture’s negligible activities in the European Economic Area and the companies’ limited combined market position resulting from the proposed transaction.
