Brussels – The European Commission is reportedly willing to accept provisional US tariffs of 10 percent on all exports to the United States provided there are no higher tariffs on cars, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, according to German newspaper Handelsblatt.
Handelsblatt goes on to say that the EU would be willing, in return, to reduce tariffs on US-manufactured vehicles and to change eventual technical or legal barriers to make it easier to sell US cars in Europe.
Furthermore, to create potential greater demand for US producers, Brussels is reportedly ready to offer a full stop to purchases of Russian natural gas.
