Brussels – Inflation in the eurozone stood at 2.6 percent in February, down from January (2.8 percent), Eurostat reported, confirming preliminary estimates released earlier this month.
Leading the reduction is mainly ‘food, alcohol and tobacco’ (at 4 percent in February, compared to 5.6 percent in January). Smaller declines are also seen in services (3.9 percent, compared to 4 percent in January) and non-energy industrial goods (1.6 percent, compared to 2 percent in January).
