Brussels – The third call for individual mobility action of the Culture Moves Europe mobility program, which will offer grants for professionals in fields such as cultural heritage, design, fashion, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts is open from today (Aug. 1) until next Nov. 30 . “Culture Moves Europe is becoming the benchmark for green and inclusive cultural mobility within the continent and beyond,” is the comment of Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Iliana Ivanova, launching the new call for a program in which “artists and organizations from overseas countries and territories are increasingly participating.”

The results of the previous Culture Moves Europe call for proposals confirm Commissioner Ivanova’s words: more than 1,600 projects from 39 EU and non-EU countries were selected to be funded with 2,870 mobility grants, totalling €5,199,280. Projects will take place in all cultural and creative sectors, with higher participation noted in architecture and literature than in the first Culture Moves Europe call, while 40 per cent of beneficiaries requested a green travel supplement for their mobility project.

As the EU Commission points out, artists and cultural professionals with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply and will be able to receive additional support. “I warmly congratulate all grantees and artists who contribute to the richness of our European cultures and make them flourish,” is the greeting from the holder for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth in the von der Leyen Cabinet. Here is all the information on the third Culture Moves Europe mobility call.
