Brussels – The secretary-general of the European Democratic Party and member of the Renew Europe presidency, Sandro Gozi, will attend the US Democratic Party’s National Convention kicking off today in Chicago.
The EDP secretary’s trip to the US follows previous stops in Washington and New York during the past European legislature. It is part of the drive to strengthen relations and cooperation between European and US Democrats.
“US elections will also have a huge impact in Europe. For years, as European Democrats, we have been committed to strengthening our ties with American Democrats. With our participation in Chicago, we want to show our support for Kamala Harris and her fight for civil rights, for the middle class, and against Trump’s extremism,” Gozi said.
