Eurozona, a febbraio surplus commerciale col resto del mondo a 17,8 miliardi (Eng)

Bruxelles – The first estimate for euro area (EA19) exports of goods to the rest of the world in February 2017 was €170.3 billion, an increase of 4% compared with February 2016 (€163.2 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €152.6 bn, a rise of 5% compared with February 2016 (€144.9 bn). As a result, the euro area recorded a €17.8 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in February 2017, compared with +€18.2 bn in February 2016. Intra-euro area trade rose to €149.1 bn in February 2017, up by 5% compared with February 2016.

In January to February 2017, euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world rose to €333.7 bn (an increase of 8% compared with January-February 2016), while imports rose to €316.4 bn (an increase of 11% compared with January-February 2016). As a result the euro area recorded a surplus of €17.3 bn, compared with +€23.0 bn in January-February 2016. Intra-euro area trade rose to €294.9 bn in January-February 2017, up by 8% compared with January-February 2016.

The first estimate for extra-EU28 exports of goods in February 2017 was €146.5 billion, up by 7% compared with February 2016 (€137.0 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €144.8 bn, up by 8% compared with February 2016 (€134.5 bn). As a result, the EU28 recorded a €1.7 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in February 2017, compared with +€2.6 bn in February 2016. Intra-EU28 trade rose to €265.9 bn in February 2017, +3% compared with February 2016.
