How many Agenda Monti exist! Browsing on the internet there are many www-agenda-monti sites with different endings. There is the most important, “.it” but then for skilled surfers, the Professor’s sidekicks registered a few other sites to avoid allowing the “vixens” to pester him. So we find www.agenda-monti.eu, or also .com or .net. Oddly, agenda-monti.info has been left free.
Nothing is unusual except for the ownership of these sites. The .it and .eu belong to a company called “Callipigia srl” with headquarters in Bologna in via Sante Vincenzi 46 and have a server in Germany. It is the property of a certain Devis Meneghelli. It seems like any other website management firm. Funny, instead it is the property of other domains. One turns out to be the property of an official of the European Commission who works for Monti, but is on the Brussels payroll. The .com is the property of Elisabetta (Betti) Olivi, his spokesperson, who also gave the same address of via Sante Vincenzi in Bologna because the administrator, again Meneghelli, is there. The other two, the .net and .org are registered to Roberto Grassi; we don’t know who he is but we cannot overlook that he has the same last name of another UE official that Monti brought to Rome, who has furnished an address for his residence in Sweden: Falsterbogatan 7, Helsingborg.
The Commission says “we are aware of this” and everything is OK but they do not seem convincing. At least the doubt is dispelled that this Elisabetta Olivi is not the same as the spokesperson. Now however, a doubt is raised: while a citizen is completely free to candidate himself, enlist and carry out whatever act of political choice, even if he is a public official, it is just as normal that a citizen, loaned to a government by the European Commission (who continues to pay him) as a technical employee, should be so involved with the “boss” to become owner of the website through which he runs his electoral campaign? Because if the .it among these sites is obviously the main one, all the others are perfectly online, less interesting, but they are still part of the electoral campaign.
