Euro area annual inflationis expected to be 1.4% inMarch 2019, down from 1.5% in February according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, energy is expected to have the highest annual ratein March (5.3%, compared with 3.6% in February), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (1.8%, compared with 2.3% in February), services (1.1%, compared with 1.4% in February) and non-energy industrial goods (0.2%, compared with 0.4% in February).
