At the annual European Steel Day, Eurofer’s Director General, Axel Eggert, discusses the steel crisis that has hit the Eu – with a special eye to the implications of granting market economy status (Mes) to China. Among other issues on the table, anti-dumping measures, the Eu’s response to the crisis and the critical state of Uk’s steel industry were also addressed.
